    If you have any "facts" that were not presented in the original CNN article on which this commentary was based, I would love to hear them.

    In case you were not aware, we obviously specialize in commentaries, and what you read is my commentary based in the information available. If there has been an update on the information that CNN originally presented, I would greatly appreciate it.

    However, I suspect that for some reason you are a sympathizer of the clinic. And if this is a case of sour grapes for not liking my commentary, then you need to get over it. Anybody in their right mind can see that what this clinic is accused of is appalling.

    Why don't you shut the f*ck up. I am one of the 5,700 patients contacted with a Dear Valued Patient greeting hence the Name on this post. I am lucky enough to be a two time recipient of this procedure at this clinic. It is Siouxland Urology in Dakota Dunes, SD. This blog has it exactly right. Even though there has been published information in medical journals since 1999 that this practice is not safe this clinic went ahead and tried to save a few dollars on bags of saline that carried a manufacturer's warning against this practice. OH BUT THEY ARE REAL SORRY ABOUT IT, NOW. NOW THAT THE STATE DEPT OF HEALTH HAS ALLOWED THEM TO CONTINUE TO OPERATE ON A PROVISIONAL LICENSE. I SUPPOSE THAT ANY CLINIC WOULD GET THAT COURTESY FROM A STATE DEPT OF HEALTH - YOU KNOW IMPORTANT DOCTORS AND ALL. HERE THOUGH THE REAL PROBLEM IS THIS IS THE ONLY UROLOGY CLINIC WITHIN 75 MILES OF SIOUX CITY IOWA HENCE THE REASON FOR THE LARGE NUMBER OF VICTIMS. I WONDER HOW MANY VICTIMS WILL BECOME PATIENTS OF CLINICS IN SIOUX FALLS OR OMAHA? I have 9-13 days to wait for the results of my test then if negative I have to decide if I should be tested again - .23 % chance of false negative on this screening test THIS SUCKS I WILL BE GETTING REFERRED TO OMAHA OR SIOUX FALLS - NO WAY DO I EVER GO TO THAT CLINIC AGAIN - OF COURSE IT WILL PROBABLY BE SAFER THAN ANY NOW WITH WHAT HAS HAPPENED.

    Thank you so very much for sharing your story! I am so sorry to hear that this has happened to you. I was immediately outraged when I heard about this story. I stand behind my original statement that criminal action needs to be taken against those involved.

    This is outrageous!
